Summary: Everything was very clean and mostly comfortable. However, we were never able to get hot water in our room. Our stay was strange from start to finish. We came to check in, and no one was there. There was an email that said the desk was open all day but that we needed to call 24 hours ahead to schedule it. We had just booked that morning, though, so they knew. There was an emergency #, and we called it and heard it ring behind the (empty) desk. The hotel next door told us to wait and someone would come because the owner lived nearby. We left our bags there for about an hour and came back and someone checked us in. The place was nicely decorated but seemed totally empty. The woman we finally met was very nice and hospitable, the only reason this is a 2 and not a 1. However, she told us breakfast was 7-11. No one came out until at least 9:30. And then breakfast was yogurt, uncooked oats, honey, jam, and some boiled eggs. Because it was between two lovely hotels, it felt even stranger. This was rated on Hotels.com in the 9s, which could only be fraudulent. There was absolutely nothing 9 about this hotel. Would not recommend or stay again.
