Positive: Exactly what I was looking for, an older, clean, comfortable hotel with a nod to the past, with character and flair of a place whose prime was probably in the 60’s. 2-person elevator was just enough for one person and luggage to meet the rest of us on the 3rd floor. The spiral staircase wrapping around the elevator was straight from a lovely Audrey Hepburn movie. The staff was friendly and accommodating, letting us store our luggage before check-in so that we could walk around the city. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms rooms clean. The entrance was ornate, a wonderful change from the typical, generic lobbies in most hotels.

Negative: We had a little trouble turning the key at the main door to get in the hotel at night. Might need an upgrade lock mechanism. Though not a problem for us, the entrance has many stairs from street level. I work with seniors and see this as a barrier for low mobility guests. Not built for wheelchair access.
