Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Exceptional service without any tip expectation and facilities are top notch! Since the sea shore is very dirty in whole Africa, it's probably a good thing this hotel is not at the sea front.

Negative: The road is a bit bumpy and the cave restaurant refuses to cover the area with their free transport. If you still want to walk on the beach and swim in the sea, you gotta go to the public entrance to the beach (at Mvureni Beach Bar & Restaurant) and then walk to the only cleaned part of the public beach (there are no private beaches in Kenya, just that you can't enter everywhere the public beach because private properties are continously occupying the whole sea front). The only clean beach you'll find in front of Baobab and Papillon hotels, but the sea is as dirty as everywhere on the continental shore (if you want clean sea water you need to take a tour to the islands). Then from the only clean beach, you can exit again the seafront at Nomad restaurant (if you don't wanna walk all the way back to the public entrance to the beach).
