Positive: The view from the property was beautiful and one of the highlights of our stay. The owner was also very supportive, helpful, and responsive whenever we needed assistance.
Negative: The main issue was the access to the property. There are a lot of stairs, which were not clearly represented in the photos on Booking.com. In reality, the number of stairs felt at least five times more than what we expected from the pictures, and climbing up to the property was quite difficult. The stairs and pathway also did not feel safe or comfortable for a family, particularly in the evening. The route passes through a very green, wooded area, and at night there were many sounds from animals and insects around the stairs, which made the walk uncomfortable, especially when returning after dark and you can encounter frogs and snails etc. Another major issue was the lack of room cleaning during our stay. When we requested cleaning, we were told that it was not included. For tourists staying with a family, it is quite difficult to return after a full day of sightseeing, climb so many stairs to reach the property, and then have to clean the room ourselves. Bed linen and sheet changes were also not included. When we requested fresh sheets, they were provided to us, but we were asked to change them ourselves. For an 8-night stay, we expected at least some basic housekeeping or linen-change service. While the view was beautiful and the owner was supportive, the difficult access and lack of housekeeping made the stay challenging for us. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this property for families with young children, anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs, or guests expecting regular housekeeping during a longer stay.
