Summary: The reviews were correct. This is a wonderful place to stay in Beijing. It is a very small, quaint, and immaculately cared for hotel. The rooms have very traditional and modern elements that work very nice. If only I spoke Chinese to use the automation. The highlight were the staff of the hotel. They were unbelievably attentive, kind, genuine and helpful. The answer was always yes. We were leaving early for a tour and they opened breakfast early for us. After check out we left our luggage to walk around before coming back to leave to the airport. They invited us to tea time before we left, even though we were checked out. Small, but impactful efforts. My wife said it was the best stay she has ever experienced in all our travels.
