Summary: While the house was large and unusual in many ways, several things made our stay less than we had hoped for. The house itself is in need of upkeep, especially outside. The patio, outdoor furniture, and paint are all old and not well cared for. On the inside, I think the property manager needs to take a good look at the cleaning crew. The kitchen floor may have been washed, but it wasn't rinsed. It was sticky and we had to wipe it down with water and dry it so we could walk on it without our shoes sticking. Same thing for the two large tables in the dining room. They were sticky and we had to wipe them down before we could use them. The master bedroom had dead lady bugs in the carpeting and several pieces of what looked like wood. All the seats in the familyroom were hard as rocks. No padding at all. It made watching the football game as a family very uncomfortable. When we arrived, the dryer was packed with towels and sheets (at least two full beds of sheets and four or five towels. They were still damp. I dried them and folded them so that we could use the washer & dryer if we needed to. We also washed & dried some towels and sheets on the morning we checked out. The kitchen had only 11 dinner plates. For a house that sleeps so many (we had 9 in our party), there were not enough dishes. Only 4 wine glasses were in the kitchen. No glasses at all in the bar area. We've rented homes in this area in the past and were pleased with the accommodations. Not this one.
