Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The location was in a great upscale older neighborhood in a hilly and wooded area of Austin. The house was oriented to a view of a wooded landscape from a living room, bedrooms and a multi terraced deck. The master bedroom had its own deck. The house had a wonderful luxurious feel and had separate bathrooms for almost every bedroom. It had a variety of public and private spaces for differing social activities. The layout lended itself to quite solo time as well as larger gatherings. The furniture was unique and had a richness in the design. The house appeared to be of high quality and of solid construction with natural stone masonry exterior and landscaped retaining walls.

Negative: There was a lot of old food in the freezer and refrigerator. We had to clean it out in order to use it. We had a handicapped person come to visit, and it would have been easier for them to get into the house if the garage would have been un locked. The drive was very steep down to the garage. however it was was fortunate that their car was very small and the short flatter spot at the bottom of the drive was helpful in getting them to and through the front door. We did not know all of the house rules up front and found out the rest,, (like stripping the beds ) after we had checked out. The rules were sporadically provided through a series of emails. There were unwrapped boy scrubbers in the bathrooms sitting out on the shower bench. There was only one bathroom on the first floor and it was attached to a private bedroom. It was very small and not very accessible to a handicapped person. The kitchen was not designed for efficient cooking. There was no layoff space next to the stove which was in an island. the fridge was behind the cook, with no layoff nearby even. Windows were dirty Wish the check out time would have been a bit later.
